Tahitian Pearl and Garnet, Sterling Silver Necklace tgw, 19.2 cts. The necklace is adjustable and can be worn at a length of 16 to 18". It is adorned with a further 3" drop, creating a truly stunning necklace. The piece was sourced from Gemporia's Gems TV brand and features four Tahitian pearls from the black-lipped saltwater pearl oyster. Gemporia source their Tahitian pearls from a family run business called Maruata Pearls based in Tahiti - their motto has always been ‘a healthy oyster produces the most beautiful Pearl’. Maruata’s reputation for producing the finest Tahitian Pearls is second-to-none and this is due to the care they take, protecting the oysters from turtles, stingrays and sharks, as well as regularly cleaning them and making sure they live in perfect lagoon temperatures, away from storms. Maruata allow the pearls to grow for a minimum of 21 months, whereas most farms only wait 18 months. The four pearls are set of beautifully with 12 natural garnet stones - the pictures hardly do this necklace justice.
